Who pops in on a Tuesday after being MIA from their blog for over a week? apparently, I do!!! And from the looks of it, I seem to be a once a week blogger these days. Hey, I’ll take what I can get. Or give in this case. I refuse to stop blogging but it would be nice to find some consistency around here. Ya think?!
The good news is, I have plenty to share. Too much, maybe!!!
Remember the rotten little dog that we gave away and I felt awful about? Just as I was getting used to him being gone(meaning: not crying from immense guilt every night) the new owners asked if we wanted him back. What?! I kind of did, kind of didn’t!! My life had become easier without another “something” to look after but I did miss his sweet little face. Besides, the new owners were offering to give him back because their other dog was bullying him and I wanted him to have the best home, not just an okay one. Soooo, Ranger is back with the Riley family and I think it is safe to say he is here to stay!!
I have been wanting to do something different with my hair for a while now but I still wanted to maintain some length. After seeing a picture that I fell in love with on Pinterest, I took it to my hair girl and told her to do the best she could. She can work a pair of scissors but sadly, she wasn’t able to clone me into looking exactly like the picture. Ah well…..I think it’s still pretty darn cute!!!
P.S. My hair isn’t really that red, just an Instagram filter. Oh, and my Botox has completely worn off if you couldn’t tell. But you could because it is quite obvious. Sad.
On the workout front, I am still ticking away at my workouts!!! I am currently on week 4 of the James Wilson Body Earned Fall Fitness Challenge and I am loving my results so far!! I haven’t lost a ton of weight, maybe two pounds but I am finally building some muscle!!! I am seeing back muscles for the first time in a really long time so I am thrilled about that!! Now that the evenings are starting to cool down, I have also taken up hitting the pavement again. Granted, I am not running far. At all. But hey, I am running!! Last night I ran a couple of miles without stopping and my legs are feeling it today. Gah…..how is it possible only two miles can do that to you? Regardless, I am running for me and not someone elses time or distance so I will just let myself be impressed !!
Two things I did learn while running last night:
1. I love running, however, certain conditions apply. The weather must be perfect. By perfect I mean less than 80 degrees but no lower than 50. I cannot plan how far or how fast I want to run. That takes the enjoyment out of it and makes it something I “have” to do. Having to do something=not fun.
2. Music is essential, for me anyway!! One song on repeat will do just fine as long as it is, Phil Collins, I Can Feel it in the Air Tonight. Seriously, Best.Running.Song.Ever!! It has the perfect beat and the words just make me want to go for it!!!
In case you are a young’ in and have no idea what song I am talking about, here ya go!!
As much as I would love to keep chatting away on here, I think I will save some stuff for another day. Truly, I do plan on popping in a little more often. I just have to find the time between watching the return of all my new television shows!!! Grey’s Anatomy, REVENGE!!!!, Chicago Fire and The Voice!!!! Oh yes, I also have to fit my family and school in there somewhere, too!
What is your number one favorite song to exercise to?
What shows are you watching this season?
